A very successful visit

Back to the Reserve. I wanted to do my yoga out in the sun, so I found a back track that's seldom used and did the old asanas. Felt a lot better for that. I'd had a two-day headache.
Then I went to the place where I saw the kingfisher flash past four times. Again, the same story - I did sit there some time before the first pass. And I was a little distressed to hear that Mischa and Erin saw the bird catch an actual fish recently. Still. I managed to get some video. The problem was, I had the video recording when I thought it was off and when I actually homed in on the bird, I switched it off.
That beep beep noise is the kingfisher.
The Canada goose was again busy chasing off a greylag - just one, not a pair this time. Both these geese are singletons, when the rest of their pals are paired up. the greylag seemed very eager to make friends, but the Canada goose wasn't having it. And i recalled Mischa saying that one greylag was hanging around with Canada geese. Maybe this one thinks he or she is a Canada goose.
After this - and before the dead trees and budding sycamore - I saw something scurry down a branch. I looked more carefully and realised it was a stoat. A moorhen saw the stoat too and set off in pursuit. The stoat jumped into the scrub, but was chased out of there by a pair of robins. It is tough being a predator.
A wonderful visit indeed! You met so many lives. All special. Glad the visit helped your headache.
