A walk around the Reserve

Writer's picture: CroneCrone

Leanne and I walked the 7 mile circular track around the Reserve one evening. It was incredibly peaceful. We saw a lot of swifts and a few muntjac deer. And a strange poo - which I cannot find on the 'whose poo' Google searches!

Smaller and more cylindrical than rabbit poo; too much for a rat.

Anyway, I wanted to get a better feel for the place. I did... but I guess that now I would like to really explore various areas of woodland. Just get lost in amongst the trees... With my Merlin and Seek apps...

It was a lovely evening - breezy with one spell of rain.

And a rainbow!

I love the light when there are dark clouds and sunshine.

There are two swans on the Reserve with cygnets. A surprisingly small number considering the many swans on the lake.

There seems to have been a lot of predation.

Talking of which, the cygnets on my run are down from four to three.
