I cropped these. Had the long lens on and still... well, those birdies are very tiny.
I had better luck with the sheep.
First, Tom's sheep. Funny things! They run over for the sheep nuts with great enthusiasm. Then, one of the Wiltshires... but she might not be Layla. Mouflon in full flight and then a Hebridean.
There are advantages to having tame animals around.
It was a productive day of coppicing. I finished one mammoth stool and then did three more. One was very small. My arms were a little tired from the gym, but I was pleased with what I achieved and it didn't rain, nor was it too cold.
My piles of wood have grown even bigger. I was thinking how good a wood-fired pizza oven would be. They used to use hazel wood for bread ovens.
Wildlife sightings (apart from the tits ad overhead seagulls, pigeons, kite and buzzard... and overheard robin, wren, magpie, jay, woodpecker, blackbird)... one squirrel.
I love the action shots of the Mouflon !
