So, the three brave crows were receptive to the monkey nuts. Later, I met three other crows - they might have been the same three but in a slightly different place - who also took the nuts. I expect they are the same three as the other crows on the park think I am attacking them or just ignore the nuts.
The terns get excited by something being thrown but then regard the nuts as 'not food'. I thought it was interesting that the three brave crows so quickly found out how to open the shells.
The squirrels have not yet tried to open the puzzle.
The bamboo is still taking over the world.
I have some suggestions.
WHITE = UNCONDITIONALITY

RED = CREATIVITY/GODDESS/WOMB
