Expected and unexpected visitors

Yep: the crows now shout at me from my TV aerial. I threw some peanuts onto the conservatory roof and though this one refused to fly down, the following day, they flew over, eyed me, landed on the aerial and then - I was at the back of the garden - seemed to fly down. Maybe they'll become regulars.
I still leave fox food, which disappears, and last night, vocal evidence of a vixen.
What was amazing about this was that I walked back to the kitchen table, and suddenly saw Buji go on alert: he was watching. They'd heard the fox and been confused, but now I could tell he was seeing - but he was seeing through the reflective glass of the kitchen door and the conservatory!
A jay has been visiting.
This one was shouting. I started whistling and thought that the bird responded. He did look at me and seem interested. Then I clicked my tongue and he flew straight to me! But when he saw what I was, human, he fled!
Far more astonishingly, a HERON flew over the garden this morning. There are plenty of herons about, but I've never seen one fly over here. A gull was chasing it and the heron screeched and was trying to evade the mobbing gull.
I am still devoted to the dear dunnocks.

And this blue tit, surely my old pal Mohican Blue, always perches above me.

One of the male blackbirds has become brave.

Wonderful post! LOTS going on in your neck of the woods 😀x
