Today I hid a dog treat under a pile of leaves and CD was very happy to find it. He took off and flew high above and around me as I watched. Then he dropped the treat and dived down to catch it in mid-air before flying round to chase the seagulls which I have NEVER seen him or any of the other crows do before! It seemed to be PLAY!
He never drops food when he's flying - he often carries quite a few things. This was, I am sure, deliberate and maybe even for my benefit - as was the gull-chasing. He could see me watching.
I think CD is as interested in interaction as he is in the food.
You can imagine how excited I was!
