So, years ago I read this book, Animate Earth, and it got me all interested in Schumacher College. As you know, I'm interested again. So I got Stephan Harding's next book,Gaia Alchemy: the reuniting of Science, Psyche and Soul.
One of the suggestions is to create a Gaiascope. The one on the front page was my first effort. This is no good because it's not a circle.
The idea is that you cut out the different discs so you can spin them around and meditate on different combinations of words. So here's my second one, not yet cut out.
In the middle is Gaia.
Then you have the four aspects of the earth system - lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere.
In purple are the alchemical elements.
And the outer sphere is from Jung - the four styles of psyche.
In this format, the triplets are lined up as seems most obvious.
It's quite cool.
When I tried to meditate on a triplet, though, I did not get any insights. I was probably not in the right place. Literally. I should be in my Gaia place. That could be my conservatory in cool weather or the garden when it's warmer. And I can have other Gaia places - like the copse and the stand of talking trees - where I just think about it.
I'll keep you posted.
