What can I add? My friend! My She-D!
Ah and the Crow does not forget! proximity allowed as much as in the meetings of weeks ago before, I assume, she was nesting.
When she saw me, Three flew down too and She-D chased him off before arching her neck and calling to me!
He was not offended - instead, enlivened by her presence and encouraged by her confidence, Three came to share the food just as close as She-D had been.
I realised as I looked at him what a fine bird he is. Iridescent and glowing with violet and indigo and turquoise. And I could see also that he is larger than She-D, with a beak that seems bigger. He looks like male and in contrast she seems the female she is.
He's on the left here.
She deferred to him after the initial greeting to me, so I did not get them close together much and then when I did... well, I did not want to raise the camera again. I wanted to feast my eyes as they feasted on suet and cat food and cheesy treats.
My heart in hiding stirred for a bird.
Oh!!! Wow!!! xx
