The blue.
The hollow.
And of course, I am blue and hollow.
I looked at this ash.
And I wondered how many will get to be this old.
I called it the Otter Tree.
In these woods, all too many oaks have acute oak decline, ashes have ash die back and the beeches seem to be dying even faster.
Here's one of the suffering oaks.
The trees are leaving us.
On the blue side, I think this looks like a long legged lady doing a headstand.
She has not had a Brazilian.
Yup, I know. Dirty mind.
I read a couple of articles on acute oak decline. I'd never heard of it before. I was surprised that a mature tree can die in only a very few years. It seems to come down to a mix of stresses from environmental and climate changes. We're in the midst of it, aren't we.
ps Oh glad to meet Otter Tree. And Yes the tree-woman is doing a handstand -- and you have a very "creative" mind 😉
