Present imperfect

I did get myself a camera.

And so far, I'm not really registering the benefits.

It has auto focus, but it seems to want to focus on the wrong bloody thing all the time. The iPhone was aptly named a smartphone. It knows what I want to focus on. The robin, the squirrel, etc. The camera thinks, "Oh, those leaves in the middle distance are rather succulent." Idiot.

Now, I am assuming that in reality it's a case of operator error. Else I have wasted a lot of money. Actually, didn't I predict I would waste a lot of money??? I still can't do the blasted biorhyths on the meditaion app either. I am the idiot.

Anyway, I have not bothered to edit these properly. In part because, as I write this, which is not in fact Christmas Day, I am very busy on a big project. I suppose them demonstrate the superior quality. But also so many bits that processing takes longer and I worry about filling up the memory and so on and so forth.

I'll stop blithering.

And... this is rather sweet...

Yes, he flew onto the camera while I was trying to focus on him. It's the closest he's ever landed.

That was indeed a gift.
