Today, a delivery. Winter bird mix, peanuts and meal worms.
The crows were busy yesterday, a little less so today. However, all were present between my four visits and ate a lot of nuts.
Mrs Fluffy Head chose to approach me without her partner today. They were foraging in the grass some distance apart and, for once, she was more demanding than he was.
CD's mother (or father) hangs a wing - the left one - a little when she is walking. She flies perfectly well, but it droops when she's on the ground. Maybe it's an affectation. It helps me recognise her.
The Feisty Gang girl (or boy) with the limp, who looks at the sky, may be looking out for attacks from the Flying Two. In which case, maybe she's a he. Maybe when he did the protective roll - this seems to be a way to prevent a murderous crow sitting on your back and smashing through your skull with his beak - his foot was hurt. Murder, it seems, is very rare - but that might be thanks in part to the impressively acrobatic forward rolls.
Today, the Driveway Duo (a trio today and yesterday) swooped over to chase the Brave Two off the nuts. This was very upsetting as I think one of the two was CD and this has happened before. It seems to make CD very nervous.
The boss of the Feisty Gang has a fluffy head and I wonder if the Fluffy Heads are related to the Feisty Gang - their territories are next door to each other.
I must go as I am late and I only just remembered to write today.
