These pictures look to me as if the blue tit is curving space-time!
Freya Mathews argues in The Ecological Self that everything is made of space-time. The more dense stuff (planets, people, pelicans) is knows of it, as it were. A tit might not have quite the density to exert a gravitational pull such as these images suggest, but he would impact it somewhat.
David Abram suggests the idea of the future as beyond the horizon - on a horizontal plane, while the past is the ground beneath our feel. The future is out of reach, the past is removed from us.
When I was thinking about my understanding of the cardinal points (North, South, East, and West) I saw the former two as on a line, the latter two as a circle that cuts through the plane of the line, such that there is an under and an over. As though North and South were the horizon behind and ahead, East and West the globe... A distinction like the Arrow of Time (linear time) and the Wheel of Time (cyclic time).
And so the year turns. Or time passes.
And it will be 2025. A decade until Lyle Lewis apocalypse.
I cannot believe how old I am. I cannot believe all that I have done and not done. Time's winged chariot draws nearer.
Happy New Year's Eve🍁
