Oh I wish that other puzzles were so straightforward. Or that I had the smarts of a squizzel.
As it is, seems I opt for the 'throw money at it solution'.
You want examples? Fine.
Restless legs: reiki (two sessions); magnesium spray (two kinds); special magnesium pills; electric foot thingy (which I actually think does work and I am using it most days).
Lack of creativity in art: new set of watercolour pencils.
Lack of creativity philosophically: a million, zillion books - on animal ethics, animal psychology, human-animal relationships, virtue ethics, morality in general, psychology.
Fear of work and dissertation stress: new iPad (with pen and case) - to follow the new laptop earlier this year; new office (plans to remove bed and replace with a bespoke desk).
Fear of dog's death: focus on birds by investing in birdseed, bird houses and bird feeders.
I am not sure this is the best strategy.
Still, volunteering is free. I have now done two days and I really enjoy cutting things down and dragging the dismembered evidence into the bushes. It's like we are a group of kids. Old kids. People who prefer nature to people on the whole.
Today, nice Dave was early to the site and saw a roe deer. Tomorrow, he says he'll get there early and try to photograph a tawny owl. He said he'd email me the picture if he manages to get one. We heard it today. As we cut down its tree. Just kidding.
